RACE ACROSS THE WORLD RENEWED FOR SIXTH SERIES AHEAD OF FIFTH NEXT YEAR
Race Across The World has been recommissioned for a sixth series on BBC One, ahead of the fifth series which will air next year. Applications are now open for the 2026 series, with more details here.
On a limited budget and away from the luxuries of modern technology and conveniences, those selected will experience life in some of the world’s most beautiful and remote locations.
Navigating their way across thousands of miles, they will travel through spectacular scenery and dynamic cities, visit ancient wonders, learn local customs, and take part in time-honoured traditions.
But the physical journey is only half of the story as they take on the challenge of travelling across the world, perhaps the greatest thing they’ll discover is about themselves and one another.
Plus, Celebrity Race Across the World is expected to return for a third series following the huge success of its first two star-studded version. Heart-warming and inspiring, viewers were captivated in record numbers, and gained a unique insight into the lives of the celebrities and their relationships with their nearest and dearest.
Facing the same hardships and twists and turns as the regular series, the famous faces and their loved ones undertook the gruelling yet rewarding journey without the use of smartphones or credit cards and learnt how to travel smart and on a limited budget.
Race Across The World is available on BBC iPlayer.
