Death In Paradise's Christmas Special topped the week before Christmas with 7,233,000 tuning in on Sunday night. A new series of BBC drama Strike: The Ink Black Heart launched on Monday night with 6,079,000, with a further 5,441,000 watching episode two on Tuesday night.
Strictly Come Dancing celebrated 20 years on screen with a celebratory documentary on Saturday night which was watched by 5,655,000. It was followed by the final episode in the series of Michael McIntyre's The Wheel which was watched by 4,444,000. Also on Saturday night, The Weakest Link and Casualty were watched by 3,416,000 and 3,138,000 respectively.
During the week, The Great British Sewing Bee celebrity special was watched by 3,124,000, Paddy McGuinness made his debut as lead presenter of Inside The Factory to 3,108,000, Sports Personality Of The Year aired to 2,855,000 and 3,672,000 watched ITV's reboot of Bullseye.
In soaps, Coronation Street topped the week with 4,564,000 on Monday night, Emmerdale also on Monday night with 4,050,000 and EastEnders on Thursday night with 3,796,000.
Death In Paradise spin-off Return Of Paradise was watched by 3,439,000 on Friday night. A figure for Gino & Fred: Emission Impossible was not available.
