RATINGS REPORT: 22-28 JULY 2024

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games opened on Friday night with the Opening Ceremony, which was watched by an average audience of 7,147,000 on BBC One. The Olympics were watched by 5,200,000 on Sunday evening, 4,329,000 on Saturday evening, 2,969,000 on Saturday afternoon and 2,839,000 on Sunday afternoon.



In drama, The Jetty concluded with 4,148,000 on BBC One. McDonald And Dodds continued with 3,220,000 on Sunday night and Midsomer Murders with 3,205,000 on Tuesday night.


In soaps, Coronation Street topped the week with 4,547,000 on Monday night, Emmerdale's best of the week was Thursday night with 3,921,000 and EastEnders hit a high on Monday night with 3,432,000 on BBC One.



In non-scripted, Long Lost Family was watched by 2,759,000, Love Island's best of the week was Wednesday with 2,343,000 and The Great British Sewing Bee final was watched by 4,573,000.


A figure for Linford was no available at time of writing.
