READY TO MINGLE AXED BY ITV2 AFTER ONE SERIES

Ready To Mingle, ITV2's latest dating show, will not be returning for a second series.

Hosted by Katherine Ryan, the series saw followed a single girl in the search for her perfect partner, as twelve male suitors competed for her affections and the chance to win a big money prize.

But in a mischievous twist, not all the boys were single, with a number of them being guided by their partners in pursuit of the prize. Taking up residence in a luxurious house, the single girl will get to know all the boys through activities, games and dates, eliminating each boy one-by-one until her ‘dream man’ remains.

The series ultimately failed to pull in viewers, with episodes dipping as low as 60,000 viewers overnight. It also faced tough competition in the form of the revamped Married At First Sight UK on E4.

ITV have now confirmed that, as it stands, the show will not be returning for a second run.

An ITV spokesperson told TV Zone: "We have no current plans for a second series of Ready to Mingle. Viewers can still catch the first series on ITV Hub."
