RED EYE: MARTIN COMPSTON TO LEAD SECOND SERIES OF ITV THRILLER, RETURNING CAST ANNOUNCED
ITV propulsive thriller Red Eye is returning for a second series, with Line Of Duty's Martin Compston joining the cast as the lead character of Series 2. The first series, which launched last year, saw audiences in excess of 8 million viewers.
In addition to Compston, Jing Lusi will return as DS Hana Li with a new conspiracy to solve in the high-octane world of Red Eye. Lesley Sharp and Jemma Moore also reprise their roles as Head of MI5 Madeline Delaney and journalist Jess Li.
The first outing of the drama starring Jing Lusi, Richard Armitage, Lesley Sharp and Jemma Moore is an adrenaline-filled story told over six parts, set between an all night flight from London to Beijing, the streets of London, and the corridors of power within Whitehall.
Martin Compston said (via The Sun): "I’m delighted to be joining the Red Eye team. Hoping to build on the massive success of the first series and give viewers another thrilling ride."
