HONKY TONK ROAD TRIP: ROB BRYDON TO FRONT BBC COUNTRY MUSIC TRAVELOGUE
Gavin And Stacey and Would I Lie To You star Rob Brydon is to front a new three-part BBC Two travel series based on his love of country music.

Rob Brydon's Honky Tonk Road Trip will see the star travel around southern America, including Nashville, Kentucky and Tennessee to examine the origins of country music. Along the way, he will meet famous faces, locals and throw himself in to the way of life.
Speaking about the new series, Brydon commented: "I’ve always loved country music but never really delved too deeply into it. The current resurgence means it’s the perfect time to head over to Nashville and find out more. I can’t wait to immerse myself in this fascinating world of music."
Meanwhile, Rob Brydon has also been named the host of upcoming adventure reality competition series, Destination X. The innovative show coming to BBC One and iPlayer this year, will combine spectacular adventure travel and immersive gameplay with the ultimate guessing game.
Merging fantasy with reality in this larger-than-life adventure competition series, viewers will follow contestants as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime but have no idea where they are. In order to win, they must figure out their mystery locations.
Once they're on the blacked-out Destination X bus, the journey transforms into a real-life boardgame with challenges designed to offer clever clues as to their location, along with a few misdirects to keep them, and the viewers, always guessing.   Â

At the end of each episode, contestants must guess where they are and the furthest from the actual location will leave the competition. The first player to reach the final destination, Destination X, will be crowned the winner. With high stakes and mind-blowing spectacular gameplay, the series will continuously keep viewers engaged and take them along for the ride. Â
Destination X is based on the award-winning Belgian format that was created and produced by Geronimo, and launched in Belgium in 2023 on commercial broadcaster VTM.
