RUSSELL HOWARD HOUR RENEWED FOR TWO MORE SERIES BY SKY ONE

Sky One's topical comedy show The Russell Howard Hour has been renewed for a fifth and sixth series.

Series 5, due to air in 2021, will consist of 15 episodes. It will see Russell continue to offer his satirical take on global news, politics and the stories dominating the cultural zeitgeist.

The latest season, according to Sky, has attracted the biggest viewing figures since Series 1, which was the biggest new non-scripted entertainment show to land on Sky One since 2010.

The show has also proved a hit online, with content from the show seen over 400 million times across social media.

Sky's Philip Edgar-Jones said: "Russell Howard is the sharpest comic on TV and we are thrilled that he’ll be restlessly and hilariously nailing our messed-up world for at least another two seasons on Sky One."
