SKY UNVEILS 2025 SCRIPTED PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS WITH NEW AND RETURNING TITLES
Sky have unveiled its scripted slate for next year.
Lockerbie: A Search For Truth
On 21st December 1988, 259 passengers and crew were killed when Pan Am Flight 103 exploded over Lockerbie 38 minutes after take-off, with a further 11 residents losing their life as the plane came down over the quiet, Scottish town. In the wake of the disaster and his daughter’s death, Dr Jim Swire (Colin Firth), is nominated spokesperson for the UK victims’ families, who have united to demand truth and justice.
Travelling across continents and political divides, Jim embarks on a relentless journey that not only jeopardises his stability, family and life, but completely overturns his trust in the justice system. As the truth shifts under Jim’s feet, his view of the world is left forever changed.
The Death Of Bunny Munro
This six-part Sky Original adaptation of Nick Cave’s novel The Death of Bunny Munro sees BAFTA and Emmy-nominated actor Matt Smith star in the titular role.
Following his wife Libby’s suicide, sex addict, door-to-door beauty product salesman and self-professed lothario Bunny Munro finds himself saddled with a young son and only a loose concept of parenting. Together with nine-year-old Bunny Junior he embarks on an epic and increasingly out-of-control road trip across Southern England as the two struggle to contain their grief in very different ways.
Small Town, Big Story
The six-part series is about the fictional town of Drumbán, a rural village of locals on the border of Ireland and another world, and what happens when big Hollywood production rolls into town and throws the spotlight on a secret that’s been kept hidden since the eve of the Millennium.
Christina Hendricks stars as Wendy Patterson, a local girl done good as a hot-shot television producer, who returns to her hometown from LA with the Hollywood production in tow. Paddy Considine stars as Drumbán’s local doctor and pillar of the community Seamus Proctor.
Atomic
Dynamic and entertaining action-fuelled adventure. When Max (Alfie Allen) and Mohammed (Shazad Latif), two unlikely friends – and even less likely heroes – become swept up in a cartel’s plot to transport uranium across North Africa, they face a monumental decision: save themselves or risk everything to prevent a nuclear bomb getting into the wrong hands. Max, a free-spirited drug trafficker, is making runs through the Middle East.
Meanwhile Mohammed, a man haunted by his past and on the run from those determined to kill him, is hiding out in the deserts of North Africa, unable to return home to the UK. Desperate for redemption, their paths converge in the Libyan desert as they are swept up in a nefarious Venezuelan cartel’s plot to transport uranium capable of fueling a nuclear bomb
The White Lotus
Emmy-winning drama series The White Lotus Thailand. returns for the third instalment, set in Cast includes Leslie Bibb, Dom Hetrakul, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey and Tayme Thapthimthong.
Gangs Of London

New cast includes Kaitlyn Dever as Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, Tati Gabrielle as Nora, Spencer Lord as Owen, Danny Ramirez as Manny, and Jeffrey Wright as Isaac. Catherine O’Hara also guest stars.
Mr Bigstuff
Danny Dyer (Eastenders, The Business) and Brassic favourite Ryan Sampson (Plebs) return in a new series of Sky Original Mr Bigstuff. The comedy, about estranged brothers Glen (Sampson) and Lee (Dyer) became Sky Max’s highest rating new original comedy for three years.
The comedy continues, as carpet salesman Glen (Sampson) faces up to more chaos with his brother Lee (Dyer) following the big revelation about their family at the end of series one. Creator and star Ryan Sampson, said; “Mr BigStuff series 2: filthy secrets, dirty lies. Someone’s gonna have to come clean.”
