THE DANUBE: JOANNA LUMLEY RETURNS TO ITV WITH NEW TRAVEL SERIES
National treasure Joanna Lumley embarks on a rip-roaring adventure across the heart of Europe following the most international river in the world - the Danube.

From source to sea, Joanna will track the river from its origins beneath the pines of Germany’s Black Forest all the way to the Black Sea.
On the way she’ll encounter Bavaria’s beer-brewing nuns, Slovakia’s stunning snow-capped peaks, Hungary’s Great Plain and its distinctive cowboys, the majesty of Vienna and Budapest, the raw beauty of Transylvania, and the unique wilderness that is the Danube delta.
Meanwhile, Martin Clunes embarks on an epic journey around the islands of the Atlantic for a new ITV series. His odyssey takes him to a spectacular array of ocean islands, from the jungles of the African Galapagos, via Madeira, the Azores and the Faroe Islands, and to the frozen heart of Greenland. While on his travels, Martin discovers the astounding diversity of the Atlantic’s island cultures and creatures and little-known stories of resident humans and animals.
He finds sea turtles, giant snails and eccentric village theatre in tropical São Tomé and Príncipe, fearsome predators and ancient rituals on the remote Bijagos islands, and colourful festivals, historic wines, and hair raising car rallies in Madeira.
Travelling onto the Azores, Martin samples traditional volcanic cooking, panoramic tea picking, and some thrilling whale spotting. On the windswept Faroe Islands, Martin comes up close to Atlantic puffins and the island’s unique breed of sheep before diving in freezing waters for horse mussels.
At his final port of call on Greenland, Martin is blown away by the stunning glaciers, vast icebergs, and a trek onto the island’s permanent ice sheet.
More details will be announced in due course.
