THE MADAME BLANC MYSTERIES: NEW AND RETURNING CAST ANNOUNCED AHEAD OF FOURTH SERIES ON CHANNEL 5

Channel 5 have announced an array of guest stars set to appear in the upcoming fourth series of The Madame Blanc Mysteries, the much-loved crime drama created by and starring Sally Lindsay.



 The Madame Blanc Mysteries (6 x 60’) will return to the wonderful world of Sainte Victoire, packed with unusual antiques and objéts d’art, murder, mystery, sunshine and laughter for a brand-new series on Channel 5 following the Christmas Special, which aired on Christmas Eve 2024.




 A host of new and familiar faces will be joining as special guests throughout series 4. Returning stars include Paul Chuckle (Paul Elliott) who has appeared as Gloria’s dad Trevor in all series, actor Les Dennis, who appeared in series 2, and comedian and actor Stephen Bailey who starred in series 3.


Making their debut in series 4 will be Samantha Power (Coronation Street, Brassic, Bank of Dave 2), Charlie Condou (Coronation Street, Holby City, Unforgotten), Richard Blackwood (EastEnders, Hollyoaks, Death in Paradise, Pandora), Danny Hatchard (Our Girl, Ripley Road, Eastenders), Graeme Hawley (Finding Alice, Coronation Street), Lorraine Burroughs (Sweetpea, Top Boy), and Edward MacLiam (Cucumber).



Creator Sally Lindsay (Cold Call, Love Rat) will return as Jean White, who is navigating a fledgling romance with her sidekick Dom Hayes, played by Steve Edge (Starlings, Benidorm, Maxine). Co-writer Sue Vincent (Mount Pleasant, Shameless) stars as mechanic Gloria Beaushaw.


Robin Askwith (Strike, Benidorm) and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses, Still Open All Hours, The Green Green Grass) reprise their roles as eccentric married couple Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James and Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls, My Dinner With Hervé, Death In Paradise) is back as Chief of Police André Caron. Finally, Tony Robinson makes his return as series regular as Dom’s Uncle Patrick.



The fourth series will be directed by Dermot Boyd, produced by Jake Rollins, while Mike Benson and Andy Morgan will serve as Executive Producers for Clapperboard alongside Sally Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry.

 

Clapperboard (Love Rat, The Good Ship Murder, The Teacher) and Saffron Cherry Productions (The World According to Grandpa) will co-produce with Acorn Media Enterprises on board as international distributor, holding exclusive rights worldwide except for the UK and Northern Ireland. The series was ordered by Greg Barnett, Commissioning Editor for Channel 5.

 

On the upcoming guest stars, Sally Lindsay said." I am very proud to say that yet again Ste. Victoire has attracted a plethora of brilliant guest stars and we have been blown away with how their talent has lifted our scripts off the page. We also welcome back some of our beloved semi-regulars so have fun in the sunshine with all the regular gang. We can't wait for you to meet our brand-new characters as well as catching up with what our permanent residents are up to as well as working out 6 brand new mysteries with Jean."

 



The series is expected to air this March on Channel 5 and dates will be confirmed in due course.
