THE OSBOURNES RETURN TO THE UK IN NEW BBC ONE SERIES

The BBC are bringing back the iconic MTV reality series The Osbournes.

The new series, which will air on BBC One, will follow a similar format to the hit reality series which ran on MTV for four series from 2002, which followed the home life of Sharon, Ozzy and their children.

The new series will follow Sharon and Ozzy as they move back to the UK full time, after twenty years living in LA.

Clare Sillery, BBC Hear of Documentaries, said: "Twenty years ago the Osbournes left Britain for a life in LA. Now they're coming 'home to roost' back to their family home, pretty much as they left it all those years ago...

"In this new series for BBC One, viewers will be able to follow the family as they settle back into their new life in a Buckingham village. It promises to be funny, moving and honest insight into their new life back in the UK."

Ozzy recently announced the pair would be moving back to the UK. Speaking to THe Observer, he said: "I'm fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings... It's crazy..

"I'm English. I want to be back. But, saying that, if my wife said we've got to go and live in Timbuktu, I'll go. But, no, it's just time for me to come home."

A source told The Sun: "More from the Osbournes has been discusses a lot over the years. They're internationally renowned and telly execs have long thought it would be great to do a new show...

"Until now they haven't been able to make something happen but, after they moved back to Britain, the idea was floated to them again - and this time Sharon's keen. It has prompted a lot of excitement."

They continued: "This is likely to focus much more on Sharon and Ozzy but they're still very close to their kids. Kelly just had a baby and they're in touch with Jack all the time, too. They'd definitely appear at times and be involved."

More details will be revealed in due course.
