THE REWARD: NEW REALITY COMPETITION SET FOR CHANNEL 4, FROM THE PRODUCERS OF THE TRAITORS

As previously reported, Studio Lambert are casting for a new "social power play competition" series for Channel 4 (via Broadcast) where players will push their limits and test how far they’ll go to take home a fortune.

The Reward (working title) is an immersive, mischievous new reality competition series which takes a diverse group of people from all walks of life and ages who must work together to earn money, but they can’t split the winnings equally.

One person will receive more money than the others – The Reward. Who will outwit, outplay, and outmanoeuvre the others to claim The Reward? In this high-stakes game of collaboration and cunning, how far will you go to make sure you get the biggest cut?

The new format comes from Studio Lambert, producers of The Traitors and previous Channel 4 reality format Rise And Fall, which was axed by Channel 4 last year after one series.

Rise & Fall saw sixteen ordinary British people, from all walks of life and ages, begin the game as equals but soon find themselves either in a position of power as a Ruler or as part of the powerless as a Grafter.

While the Rulers live in an opulent penthouse, the Grafters must survive in basic conditions in the basement. And much like life, those in power will be responsible for making decisions that affect those who have none.

A Channel 4 spokesperson told The Sun: "Rise and Fall was a great show that we were very proud of and attracted strong audiences, but Channel 4 is all about the new and we want to make space for the next great new reality idea..."
