THE SPLIT UP: PRE-PRODUCTION RESUMES ON BBC DRAMA SPIN-OFF SERIES

Last year the BBC announced The Split Up, a new six-part series featuring the high-stakes world of Manchester’s divorce law circuit, where one family of lawyers, the Kishans, reigns supreme.

Last year, Deadline reported that editorial reasons forced the shoot to be paused indefinitely by the BBC and production company Sister. Broadcast now reports that the show is now in pre-production with filming due to commence this October.

Produced by Northern SISTER in association with Little Chick for BBC One and BBC iPlayer, The Split Up’s story and characters are created by Ursula Rani Sarma (Smother, Delicious) and based on The Split created by Abi Morgan, who will executive produce alongside Sarma and The Split alumni, Lucy Dyke, Jane Featherstone and producer Sumrah Mohammed.
