ITV TO FOLLOW TORVILL & DEAN'S FAREWELL TOUR FOR NEW DOCUMENTARY

ITV are to follow Torvill and Dean as they prepare to say goodbye to the rink for the final time this summer with their farewell tour, Our Last Dance. Last month, after weeks of speculation, it has been confirmed that Dancing On Ice will not return to ITV in 2026.

A source told Daily Star: "Torvill and Dean jumped at the chance to make the documentary. It’s the perfect way to celebrate all the success they’ve had together. Filming has already started. Everyone involved is really excited about it."

Dancing On Ice launched in 2006 on ITV, meaning the show would've celebrated its 20th anniversary next year. In 2013, it was announced the show would end with an all-stars series in early 2014. Four years later, in 2018, the series returned to ITV with a new home at Bovingdon Airfield in Hertfordshire.

An ITV spokesperson said: "Following another successful series earlier this year, Dancing On Ice will be rested in 2026 with no current plans for another series.

"We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the cast and crew who have worked on the show since 2006, and over the previous 17 series, for all of their hard work both on and off the ice."

This year's Dancing On Ice is available to stream now on ITVX.
