TWO DOORS DOWN: HIT BBC COMEDY TO RETURN FOR ONE-OFF CHRISTMAS SPECIAL
Hit BBC comedy Two Doors Down is set to return for a one-off Christmas special later this year, The Sun newspaper reports.

The comedy was shelved following the death of its co-creator Simon Carlyle in 2023, with co-writer Gregor Sharp and the cast deciding the show could not go on with out him. However, it's now been revealed that Gregor has decided to give the show one final send-off.
A source told The Sun: "Gregor always felt that the show was Simon’s baby - they were his characters. That’s why he said he could not continue. But Gregor has finally relented and said yes. It’s great news because the show was just left hanging there for the viewers."
The BBC Scotland comedy, which aired on BBC Two for six series and was then promoted to BBC One for its seventh and most recent series, followed Beth (Arabella Weir) and Eric’s (Alex Norton) peaceful suburban existence which is continually punctured by the inappropriate behaviour of their fellow residents.
Their neighbours are often rude about their hospitality and frequently outstay their welcome. Lifelong hypochondriac Christine (Elaine C Smith) never misses an opportunity to sponge a cuppa off Beth while undermining her at the same time; Colin (Jonathan Watson); and ever-positive Michelle (Joy McAvoy) continues to struggle with hapless Alan’s (Graeme Stevely) imperfections.
It seems Beth and Eric’s only support comes in the form of loving son Ian (Jamie Quinn) and his wide-eyed fiancé Gordon (Kieran Hodgson).
Two Doors down is available now on BBC iPlayer.
